Want a ShortHorse Studios session, but don't think you can afford one?
Barter with me! I'm looking for high quality items, unless otherwise noted. I'm happy to trade dollar for dollar, however I am also open to reasonable offers. For information on session and available items, click on the information link above. Got something you'd like to barter? To discuss a trade, contact me!
Here are some of the things I'm looking for right now, with more items to come as I think of them:
Horse-Related
Leather surcingle
Leather long lines
Leather lunging cavesson
Cob-sized bitless dressage bridle, padded - preferably black
Some sort of bareback pad that fits an Arab - I have some specific requirements for this one, but I would really love it if someone had what I was looking for! I have seen a Cashel version I really like.
Like-new winter riding boots - mine always wear out! Size 7, tall version, like these.
Winter riding pants - the kind that fit over the boots mentioned above, like these.
Construction/Carpentry
Someone with drywall experience and tools to help with removal and replacement of *lots* of drywall. Preferably someone who is "certified".
Sheets of drywall :)
Furniture
I am open to most furniture, however I am looking for certain styles. Right now, I'm looking for a bureau, a couch, a coffee table, and living room chairs in sort of a Victorian or classic style, but I'll look at just about anything.
Food
I'm open in the food category. Fresh fruits and veggies are really good, as are nuts, seeds, and general "sticks and twigs". Nothing with wheat, rye, barley or spelt however, as I'm gluten-free.
Bulk nuts
Bulk dried fruits
Granola
Art Supplies/Instruction
Breyer Traditional and Classic size model horses - must have all parts, but ok if scratched or paint missing. Also Little Bits, too!
Model horse customizing information, specifically Carol Williams' book "Color Formulas & Techniques For the Model Horse Artist" (http://www.riorondo.com/ - under "Books" at the bottom. Good luck finding it! Currently out of print.)
Sculpting tools, also at http://www.riorondo.com/
Gapoxio (again, http://www.riorondo.com/)
Old halter plates, saddle plates, dog tags, etc. I can't give you a whole lot for these, but if you have them laying around... :)
Miscellaneous
Laser printer - if you have a good quality one that is somewhat new, I will trade a session plus all digital files for personal use. I'd really like one of these!
