Sara has long been a strong advocate for children. Before attending law school, she was a case manager with the Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare. As an attorney, she seeks creative solutions that work for families and protect children’s rights.

Sara earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2008. She has been with The Law Center for Children & Families since then, practicing exclusively in family law. She primarily handles cases that involve child custody, placement, and support, in both divorce and paternity matters. Sara’s other practice areas include juvenile guardianships, grandparents’ rights, foster parents’ rights, international family law, LGBT issues, mediation, and parent coordination.

Sara is also a member of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin, the Dane County Bar Association, and the Legal Association for Women.

The attorneys and staff at the Law Center for Children & Families believe that best interest of the child is paramount – this is what drives us. We are not afraid to fight for this mission. Sometimes we do this through negotiation; sometimes we do this in court. We believe in law with a conscience. Before we accept a case, we ask ourselves this question: If we win, will it be good for the child? In other words, will we be able to sleep at night? If the answer is yes, we gather our resources and get to work.
